Hey now. Relaxing at home in my recliner after our first 4 day run in two months. Getting my sea legs back. Band sounded great, people dancing like mad, especially at The Domes show. Sorry to hear about Aspen Landing discontinuing music and The Adriatic Cafe's closing for a year for reconstruction. Westside Andy was great as was Benny Rickun. Nice to have such talented friends. Looking forward to Thanksgiving with the family. Full house on Thursday LOL...
Listening to Chef Chris and the Nairobi Trio. What a great, creative disc. Their arrangements, musicianship and thinking out of the box made this one of my favorite cds of the last 10 years. The were the 2003 (or around) winners of the IBC awards. Sure you can find it on the web.
Danny Moore and I will be playing with Dave Potter & The Alley Kings on Monday, November 25th at Sara's Pub in Beloit, WI at 6pm.
Westside Andy joins us for three shows Friday thru Sunday. Westside Andy is a Grammy nominated harp player from Madison Wisconsin. Leader of his own band, The Westside Andy/Mel Ford Band, he's an alumni of The Paul Black & The Flip Kings, Tino Gonzalez and The Bryan Lee Band. Just a world class, ass kicking harmonica player. Make sure you get a chance to see him. He'll also be with us on New Year's Eve at the Double Tree Inn, Bloomington, MN at 8pm opening for the Lamont Cranston Band.
